you are eligible, join the Branch and come along to the events.
You can be assured of a very warm welcome, great camaraderie
and some excellent days out together. Members who have paid their annual Branch membership fee are eligable to benefit from any subsidy that may be provided to support a particular event.

The Major General's Review, The Colonel's Review and the Queens Birthday Parade |
These reviews of the Queen’s Birthday Parade are known as the 1st and 2nd Rehearsals. Tickets for the Major General’s Review are generally free, are generally in high demand and cannot be guaranteed. Tickets for the Colonel’s Review are charged for (2010 price was £10 each). In view of the difficulty we have had securing tickets over the last few years, this year members will need to bid to Headquarters Household Division for their own tickets. The ballot for tickets to attend The Queen's Birthday Parade itself opens in January and closes at the end of February. Applications to attend the Parade (in the seated stands) should be sent in January and February only to: The Brigade Major, Headquarters Household Division, Horse Guards, Whitehall, London SW1A 2AX. |

Grenadier Day |
The 1st Battalion is to move to Lille Barracks, Aldershot in March/April 2011 and Grenadier Day 2011 will be held there. Regimental Headquarters are desperately trying to fit it in around the Battalion training programme and so it seems that the beginning of June might be possible. If sufficient numbers warrant it, then the Branch will organise a coach. A fare per passenger will be charged, but entrance to the venue is free. This is often a great opportunity to meet up with lost friends and a great day out too. If you, and/or your friends/family, are interested in attending and you haven’t placed your name on the list, then please contact the Hon. Secretary soonest. |
